This year our theme is “Made to Worship”

We have been doing a lot of prep work at our school this month and it’s fairly quiet (except when we’ve also been doing relief and I bring in some “helpers”). A lot goes on behind the scenes to get ready for a school year (those of you who are school administrators/teachers KNOW where I’m coming from!) ……yet it always seems to fall in place right when we need it to the most!

This year our theme is “Made to Worship” where we will focus on all God’s creation and His purpose. Too often we get wrapped up in the “what’s in it for me??” mentality and miss His plan. Teaching our students to focus on Who made them and WHY He made them can enrich their lives more than they realize!

We’re adding more staff to be able to help the wide variety of students we will be having…right now we will have students from 3rd grade up to 11th grade!!! Exciting times!!! Currently, I will be supervising the girls’ class and Mrs. Ann Mason will continue to oversee our guys’ class, with Mr. Penfield helping between the two classrooms as needed. By the time you read this, we hope to have another gentleman working along with Mrs. Mason in her class. Mrs. Alice Gardner will continue to be our tutor and will schedule time together with our students needing help in areas such as Math, English, Reading, Writing, etc. Excited to be able to offer this in our school to help each student have opportunities to improve from where they have struggled!

Please continue to keep our school, staff, students, and homeparents who help out so much (especially when they cover for Ken and I during our time-offs!!!) It definitely takes a team to teach each student, and we are SO blessed!!!

In His service, Ken & Beth Penfield – SCS Administrators
