School Activities are Taking Off
We blinked, and now summer is wrapping up, and the school year is around the corner. It has been a jammed packed summer as always.
We had nine work groups in four weeks. Each week having 30 or more people. They got a lot of projects done, and some maintenance things done that had gotten ignored with the building of the new homes. It is always a small glimpse of heaven, getting to see and catch up with our groups.
This summer, Luke, Grace, Heaven, and I (Dennae) got to be part of our community theatre group. We got to be part of The Little Mermaid, and it was a great time making memories and friends. We were blessed to have some of our work group friends come watch our show.

Abigail, Titus, Grace, and Ezra worked down at Camp Jo Ota this summer. Camp Jo Ota has been a blessing to our kids for several years, and they love working there. Ashley got a job at Wendy’s and the kids love to stop by and see her and get a $5 Biggie Bag. Heaven worked at a local nursing home in dietary. She enjoyed getting to know the residents.
Mirlanda and Luke have worked with groups and got lots of swimming in at the pond. Several kids got to go to NYR this year with our church. It was a great week with great kids. The sermons at NYR spurred Hunter to make the decision to go, all in for Jesus, and be baptized. We are proud of his decision and continue to walk alongside him in his faith journey.

As summer comes to an end, school activities are taking off.
Abigail, Titus, and Ashley are gearing up to go to college. For Titus and Ashley this means cleaning out their room so a new kid can take their bed. This is a hard part of growing up at Shiloh. Although, they will always have a place to come back to, and we have them stay at the intern building, bunkhouse, or bunking in with another kiddo. Their room is needed for another kiddo, so when they leave for college, their stuff goes with them or gets boxed up in our storage room. Through the years our kids have done well with this, but it is not easy. Especially, as they go off for the first time.

As Ashley and Titus head off that will mean new kiddos will be joining our house and family. Our family has been made up of the same kids for a long time, so this is going to be a relearning process for all of us. We are excited to meet the kids God has instore for us and pray we can all adjust well to the changes ahead.
As we launch into refilling our house, we take encouragement from Galatians 6:9. “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
Thank you for walking alongside us in support and prayer. We are eternally grateful.

Blessings, The Moore’s
