Right now, the pond is the “hot spot”, or should I say “cool off” spot!
“SCHOOL’S OUT FOR SUMMER!!!” (Is that old Alice Cooper tune ringing in your head right now???) I always love how kids say they can’t wait for summer but within the first week or so seem to be looking for things to do sometimes…. well, around here there’s plenty to do!
Right now, the pond is the “hot spot”, or should I say “cool off” spot! The kids LOVE fishing, swimming, paddle boarding, etc.…and we all love watching them just be kids and enjoy being outside!
With more families now on site, it means more families to provide relief for and more kiddos to care for. New kids have been arriving the past few weeks so as we’re getting to know them, they’re getting to know us and what life is like around here during the summers. Appreciate sharing relief responsibilities with the Starks to be able to give breaks for our five growing full-time homes!
Ended the school year around here together with some outdoor games, ice cream, and of course…..time together at the pond! Always a great way to end and dive right into summer!
By the time you read this, our site will be buzzing with volunteers from a variety of churches who give up their time, energy, and hearts to come serve here on site in a variety of ways. From weeding to painting to fence building, there’s always work needing done around here and we can always use their helping hands. We love feeding them and fellowshipping with them…. getting to know them as they get to know us! (And yes…..have my crockpots all ready to rock and roll!!!)
Looking forward to what God has in store this summer and ready to be used for HIS glory!
