Our Kids Have Had Opportunities to Learn, Serve, Worship, and Simply Enjoy Being Kids
As summer comes to a close, we are grateful for another season filled with growth, laughter, service, and unforgettable memories. Thank you for your faithful prayers and support, which continue to make a lasting difference in the lives of the children in our home. Because of your generosity, our kids have had opportunities to learn, serve, worship, and simply enjoy being kids.
This summer kept our family on the go! We were blessed to host several work groups who helped improve our campus and invest in our ministry. The kids also enjoyed attending church camp, where they grew in their faith and built lasting friendships. One of the highlights of the summer was attending NYR in Colorado, where they experienced powerful worship, biblical teaching, and fellowship with other young people. Of course, there was still plenty of time for fun, with many afternoons have spent swimming in the pond and making the most of the warm Missouri days. As the new school year begins, each of our children is stepping into a new season.
Brooklynn is preparing for one of life’s biggest milestones as she gets ready to move into college. We are excited to watch her begin this new chapter and appreciate your prayers as she transitions into greater independence.
Samentha is starting her junior year of high school and is looking forward to another cross-country season. She is eager to get back on the course and enjoys the challenge and friendships that come with the sport.
Tassanie is also beginning her junior year. She has been looking forward to seeing her friends again and settling back into the routines of the school year.
Wyatt enters his junior year with a passion for writing. Throughout the summer he has been busy writing stories and submitting them to various competitions. We are excited to see how God continues to develop the gifts He has given Wyatt. The greatest gift God gave him is salvation. Wyatt accepted that gift on July 12th and was baptized into Christ! Please pray for his growth in the Lord this year.
Ethan is beginning his senior year and serves as a senior leader on the football team. We are proud of the example he is setting both on and off the field as he prepares for his final year of high school.
Devin is starting his freshman year of high school and is excited to be part of the football program. This will be a year filled with many new experiences, and we look forward to seeing him grow through them.
Kendall is heading into 8th grade, although he would happily extend summer a little longer. His favorite days have been spent riding bikes, swimming, and making the most of every opportunity to be outdoors before school begins.
AJ is excited to start 6th grade at Tri-County and is especially looking forward to seeing his friends again after summer break.
Larry will begin 7th grade at Tri-County. During the summer he challenged himself to learn both piano and guitar, and it has been encouraging to watch him develop new skills and discover a love for music.
Julianna will be starting 6th grade at South Shelby. While she is excited for this new adventure, she is also understandably a little nervous about attending a new school. We know she will do well, and we would appreciate your prayers as she adjusts.
As we begin another school year, we are reminded that every new grade, every new opportunity, and every milestone is possible because of God’s faithfulness and the generosity of friends like you. Thank you for partnering with us as we seek to provide a Christ-centered home where each child is loved, encouraged, and equipped for the future.
Please continue praying for our children as they grow academically, spiritually, and emotionally. We are excited to see what God has in store for each of them during the coming year.
