For many, the school is a perfect fit for their academic, social, and structural needs

The last quarter of school our students were cranking out some great scores on their tests and wrapping up this semester! During our last month we were able to take a field trip/picnic to a nearby lake and library.

The last day of our school year always means goofy games (my specialty!) and this year was no exception. Had a “Use you Noodle” party… fun games that centered around pool noodles, but their favorite was “Noodle Pictionary” using cooked spaghetti noodles to draw out the words for others to guess! The theme was also a challenge for them to “use their noodles” (their brains) this summer and continue to learn new things from reading, observations, nature, etc. We never stop learning in life!

And of course, we had some silly awards to hand out on our last day but also some awards of accomplishments…congratulations to Zeke for making Honor Roll this last quarter as well as passing the most PACEs in our school year. Neatness Award for the Year went to Kendall and Mirlanda…and Christian Character awards went to Jacob and Mirlanda. Just a sampling of their achievements showing what they CAN do when setting their hearts and minds to it!

While the students may be getting a break this summer, my brain is already in school-prep-overdrive! With new kids coming, our school will be expanding as many will begin here at our school on site as we learn more about them. For many, the school is a perfect fit for their academic, social and structural needs. Lots of rearranging, restocking, etc. lies ahead in the few months of summer break! We’ll utilize some of the work groups for prep work and getting things ready to roll in August!

Prayers appreciated as we look for another supervisor (teacher) and monitor (teacher’s aide). We were blessed to have Monica Hinshaw with us for a few months this past year and saddened but excited for her as the school she was previously with restarts. She was a joy to have around, and we pray the best for her and all her endeavors.

Our theme this year has to do with creation…and we are focusing on the purpose of His creation…” Made to Worship using Psalm 95:1-2 as a theme verse. We plan to study a wide variety of His creation throughout the year and see just what we can learn through that. Be praying that God will speak to and through our school staff and that our students will see Him speaking to them in what they read, what they study, and what they see this coming school year.

Thank you for blessing us and allowing us to provide a Christian school here on site for our children!
