Shiloh Will Have the Opportunity to Help Even More Children

In the book of Joshua, the Israelite people were poised for a new journey. A journey into the land of Canaan that God has promised to them. Because of fear, unbelief, and disobedience, that generation was not allowed to go into the Promise land. Fast forward, Joshua was now in charge and God was readying His people to make the next step. God gave Joshua a pep talk and three times told him to be strong and courageous and to obey His directions and He was going to be with him and the people every step of the way.  Joshua, as leader, listened and obeyed God’s instructions.

When you are part of a ministry that has strong leadership that listens to and obeys God, you should be very thankful. The Shiloh Board of Trustees is such a leadership.

A little over three years ago, Shiloh was poised for such a new journey. The Trustees prayed for God to show them the vision for what He had in store for our ministry. Through those prayers and open hearts and minds, God blessed the Trustees with direction for the journey. When the Trustees shared the vision, they extolled us to be “strong and courageous,” to obey God’s leading, and prepare to move. Just as Joshua told the people in Joshua 3:5 to “consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do amazing things among you,” our Shiloh Family prepared themselves for the move and followed God’s leading. We began the journey and God has definitely been with us.

After a successful ranch site merger, with three new homes constructed, many new children arriving to be loved and cared for, and an incredibly strong Shiloh Family, we are still on the journey! We are preparing to construct additional rooms onto our C3 & C4 homes and finalizing plans to replace the original Shiloh C1 home built back in 1977! These are the results of leadership that listens and obeys God and His leading. So, you ask… “How can I help?”

I am asking each of you to please pray for our Shiloh Trustees as they continue to be the type of that God speaks to and blesses. Pray for the next steps of our journey so the Trustees can continue to lead and model leadership for our Shiloh Family that is strong and courageous. Pray that through their leadership, Shiloh will have the opportunity to help even more children see Christ’s love and His teaching in our Shiloh homes.

Thank you so much for all your love and support and in the future look for how you can be an integral part of the next steps of our journey!

In Christ’s love, Mark
