As summer concludes and school begins, we want to thank each of you!
This summer has been hot, fast, and full of changes! We began our summer with eight different church groups joining us through the month of June. This is always such a time of joyous reunion and busyness. We were able to put new siding on our large barn, replace the roof on our woodshop, butcher over 90 chickens, relocate a playground, replace mulch, and build safety decks on the newer houses. We also were able to play lots of vol- leyball, basketball, kick- ball, card games, swim, fish and kayak. It was a full month.
In June we also welcomed a new young man into our home, Leandro. Leandro is 15 years old, originally from Brazil and has been living with his family in Iowa. Leandro will be attending our on-site school this coming school year and we anticipate great things. In true Shiloh nature, just 3 weeks after Leandro arrived in our home, another boy in our home, Kegon, left to go back to his family in Arkansas. Kegon was in our home for almost 3 years and worked with his counselor though some of the reasons that brought him upon the Shiloh path. We are proud of the work Kegon put in and we know he has the best family support available! It is not ab- normal, especially during the summer months, for our homes to experience the ebb and flow of children coming, growing and leaving. We recognize the chapter God has for us to play in our children’s lives in His ultimate plan for them. We are beyond blessed to be vessels of His love and grace for every child here.

During July we were able to plan some extra fun activities. Our family was able to at- tend NYR (Nationwide Youth Roundup) for the first time this year. For those unfamiliar with NYR, this is a youth camp for youth groups around the country. We camped in tents, hiked, attended worship each morning and evening, and heard from several thought-provoking speakers. Our focus this year was: “Eyes on the Throne”. We learned the great value and benefit of keeping our eyes on the King. It was so neat to see our kids’ eyes open to their Savior and to make Him their own! It does our hearts good to know that they will always have these memories to look back on as they grow up.

As summer concludes and school begins, we want to thank each of you for partnering with our ministry. Sometimes, it can sound redundant, but we truly could not provide this ministry without every one of you. Your prayers, encouragement, donations and love for us never goes unnoticed by us or by our Father. Thank you and may the Lord guide and bless you.

In Him, Jeremy & Ashley Cohn
