As I walked across the stage to receive my diploma, I was not just reminded of my accomplishments, but also of the people who helped me get to where I am today.
I learned how to overcome obstacles, build meaningful friendships, and grow my relationship with Jesus.
When I first came to Shiloh, my future felt uncertain. I struggled to see what the years ahead would hold because I couldn’t see past the anger that I held in my heart. At the time, it was hard to imagine a future filled with hope, love, and opportunity.
Many people know that the journey through high school can be challenging, frustrating, and full of life lessons. However, it can also be exciting, rewarding, and filled with opportunities for growth. Throughout my years of living at Shiloh, I learned how to overcome obstacles, build meaningful friendships, and grow my relationship with Jesus. Most importantly, I learned that my past did not have to determine my future.
The support and guidance that I received at Shiloh helped me become the person I am today. My mom and dad, Todd and Misty Kolars, believed in me when I didn’t believe in myself, and they loved me unconditionally. They encouraged me, stood by me during the hard times, and showed me that I was capable of achieving more than I ever thought possible.

I am incredibly grateful not only for my parents but for every house parent at Shiloh. They all served as amazing examples of how Christ shows His love to others. They taught me that even when you mess up or get off track, there will always be someone there to help steady you and guide you back to the right path.
Looking ahead, my plans are to attend Missouri Valley College, where I will major in Exercise Science. I have also signed to join their competitive powerlifting and weightlifting teams. As I head off to college, I know that I will always have a lifelong family and friends whom I can depend on. I’m so thankful for all of our sponsors and churches that donate to Shiloh because without Shiloh I’d never even imagined becoming the person I am today.
