Memories like these will last a lifetime.

School is out, the weather is warming up, and the spring and summer outdoor activities are well underway! A few activities that we have been blessed to enjoy with the kids include cooking, card games, shed antler hunting, turkey hunting, mushroom hunting, hydro-dipping, fishing, and food plots for deer hunting. The kids were very excited to be able to catch some large catfish. Memories like these will last a lifetime.

Our kids are looking forward to hosting a Shiloh fish fry to show off their loot! Another fun activity was hydro-dipping deer skulls and other bones found during hiking adventures. This turned out to be a super fun activity, leaving the kids with some room décor! The kids have also been learning how to do a little bit of hobby farming. We’ve planted clover, Egyptian wheat, and soybeans so far. We are learning about soil nutrition, planting methods, and land management for wildlife.

We have been at Shiloh for only three months, but it already feels like home! In addition to our four biological kids, we now have three more who have joined our family!

Evie, a 14 year old girl, came to us from Minnesota and has been with us for over a month now. She enjoys Legos, reading, fishing, swimming, riding her bike, and shopping with Mom! We recently had two more boys join our family and while we are still getting to know them, I can point several of their interests.

Reese, 12 year old boy, is from Arkansas/Louisiana and is a fishing fanatic. I think he would live at the pond if we let him. Ronnie, 14 year old boy, is almost local (Hannibal, MO). Ronnie likes to tinker and is interested in learning how to be a mechanic or fabricator one day. He also enjoys fishing.

Hunter, 16, is saving up for a truck and is willing to do just about any work available if it involves driving. He is such a big help around the ranch and our home. Hope, 14, is loving the animals at the ranch. One of our projects was a chicken tractor coop and she is taking great care of her young chickens and looking forward to providing the family with fresh farm eggs. She also has started a venture into meat rabbits. Her doe (female rabbit) recently had babies and so we are off to the races expanding her operation.

Emmee, 12, is just enjoying making so many new friends here and loving life. Paxton, 8, loves riding his bike and ripstick, as well as learning new ways to fish. He would also live at the pond for swimming and fishing if allowed.
